A range of FREE resources for using Numicon are available at  www.numicon.co.nz.

We have created some home packs for parents to use at home. These are discounted until 1 July. 

Please note - in light of the Covid-19 situation, we are now offering the ability for you to attend our courses ONLINE.

When you book, we will send you a link to connect to the course and download the handouts.

If you don't have the real Numicon shapes at home you can download paper shapes and other resources at this link.  

When you attend virtually, you will still have the option to interact with us and ask questions.

New courses for Term Two will be posted soon.  These will be free and paid courses. We're having a break after delivering great courses for the last two weeks.

You will see how Numicon milestone assessments fit with the NZC and gain practical tips as to how this can be managed in your classroom or in fact during ‘lock down’. This is smaller group allowing for questions and answers as we as what Numicon is. Many people think that Numicon is just for children with special needs, but it was written for entire classes and schools through in Year 8.. It just so happened that children with special needs who were learning in an inclusive setting made amazing progress. Intermediate and secondary schools are using Numicon for the first term of the year to help students make significant gains to enable all students to access the curriculum at NZC Level 4.

  • This course will cover: 1.What Numicon is and why it's so successful. 2. What are Cuisenaire rods and how to use them. 3. Using the Rods to teach Multiplication and Division. 4. Word problems made easy. Have either your own set of Cuisenaire rods ready to use, or make some cardboard ones. Each rod is 1 centimetre longer. The '10' rod is 10 centimetres.
