This course will cover: 1.What Numicon is and why it's so successful. 2. What are Cuisenaire rods and how to use them. 3. Using the Rods to teach Multiplication and Division. 4. Word problems made easy. Have either your own set of Cuisenaire rods ready to use, or make some cardboard ones. Each rod is 1 centimetre longer. The '10' rod is 10 centimetres.
